Visibility Measurement

Measuring the wrong keyword misleads more than not measuring at all.

Business owners type their own industry language; customers search for something else. "Dentist" and "implant cost" return different results. Which one you scan determines what your measurement means.

What it's for

The question this answers

Gives you your sector's actual language

Starting from your business category, it suggests the different ways people search for the same thing.

Doesn't append a location

Location-stuffed queries break a grid scan; the grid already varies the location itself.

Sets up comparable scans

Scanning the same keyword repeatedly is the only way to measure change over time.

How it works

Three steps

  1. 1

    Your business category is read

The Google category and service description of the business you selected is the starting point.

  2. 2

Queries describing the same work are derived

Service names, problem names and everyday phrasing are considered together.

  3. 3

    Sent straight into a scan

The keyword you pick drops into the scan form; no copy and paste.

What you get

The suggestions aren't a list — they're a scan plan.

  • Category-based query suggestions
  • Clean keywords, with no location or qualifier appended
  • One-click transfer into the scan form

Who it's for

Agencies taking on a new client

A fast way to work out what to measure in an industry you don't know yet.

Who it's for

Businesses with several services

You can rank differently for each service; you see where you're weak on each one separately.

FAQ

Questions we get

Why don't you add a city name?

A grid scan already searches from a different location at every point. Adding a city to the keyword would cancel out the location effect you're trying to measure.

Do you provide search volume?

Suggestions are based on category and service description. Volume estimates can mislead in local search, so we leave the measurement to the actual scan result.

How many keywords should I scan?

Start with the main keyword of your highest-revenue service. Tracking that one consistently tells you more than scanning ten keywords once.
